BAMBOO WORLD’S CATALOGUE BOOK

To select species on-line use our Species List

Our catalogue is an informative illustrated educational book of more than thirty pages.

More than 100 bamboo descriptions are preceded by a sketch of the mature profile of that species, then give the height and culm diameter the species can achieve under ideal conditions, the minimum survival temperature for each species, some common names and botanical synonyms as well as the botanical name, a simple description together with some characteristics to help an unskilled person attempt identification, plus some of the characteristics and uses for each listed species, plus prices which are under constant review depending on stock, rareness, and difficulty of propagation. Some recent additions and our many unnamed species are not listed until they are close to being propagated and available. Additional data at the back of the catalogue groups bamboos commonly used for specific purposes, and also those known to survive heavy frost, or even snow conditions. Many species now growing here but not readily available as propagated plants are not yet listed, but will be added progressively.
