Storage Tanks
Irrigation water is held in 2 x 34,000 LTR poly tanks prior to usage. The water can be fed from 3 sources: Main storage dam, conrete transfer sump or our old water supply dam (emergency only). The water is filtered through 2 x gravel media filters which remove practically all particulates before entering the tank.
The tanks are elevated on a gravel pad with a timber retaining wall. This is to ensure a positive gravity feed to the supply pumps to avoid pump priming problems.
Main Pumphouse
A pumphouse was built immediately adjacent to the tanks to house the gravel filters, irrigation supply pumps, filters and the associated control equipment.
