Description

This very attractive Australian native bamboo possibly a misidentified Schizostachyum is tight-clumping vertical and leafless on the lower culm sections and with very large vivid green leaves on pendulous overhanging culms. Used for making arrow heads water pipes traditional handicrafts and casual drinking vessels in New Guinea. Prefers tropical damp semi-shade.
