Description

This extremely elegant fast growing bamboo has long narrow light green hanging leaves with bright green culms that turn yellowish with age and exposure. Its tall initially erect growth habit ends with gracefully drooping culm tips. Young shoots are spectacular vivid green white powder tinted and with rose pink culm leaf edges. It is said to be one of the best eating bamboos in the world with sweet shoots that can be eaten raw (as with some others). It will not tolerate wet feet for even a short time so dont plant it in a recess.
